Road Trip! {Washington Boudoir Photographer}

Written on October 3, 2011 Categories: Events and Travel

Greetings!

Each week we try to bring something new to the blog, so yesterday when we took a day trip to Leavenworth, Washington I thought “why not make a blog post out of it?”

We went to Leavenworth last year for Christmas lights ceremony and had so much fun. It’s a long drive there, but there are many places to stop and enjoy breathtaking scenery. It took us over three hours to get there because we would stop and hike to a place we wanted to photograph.

It was the first day of Oktober Fest and everyone seemed in a festive mood. How can you go wrong with German food, music and beer?!

We walked around a lot and got to see some great things and meet amazing people. Check out Marshall R. Mahler, a nature photographer from Wenatchee. His work is absolutely amazing (despite the fact that he’s a Cannon shooter) and would be a great addition to any home décor.

There are many shops and antique stores to visit. Here is me at the local tea shop Cup and Kettle. I just could not leave without purchasing some tea: strong black tea to wake me up in the morning, and chamomile to relax in the evening.

In our wonderings we came across the cutest soap shop… another one of my weaknesses. Shawna and Latashja, The Bubblery’s owners, saw Travis hesitate at the door and called him chicken for being afraid to come in into girly shop. So he paid for all my purchases just to prove them wrong! All the soap, lotions and scrubs in the shop are made from scratch and I got to try their whipped body cream and bought some sugar scrub that was custom scented just for me! If you go to Leavenworth don’t forget to stop by The Bubblery or visit their facebook page.

The main street was closed to car traffic and L-Bow the Clown was entertaining the crowd. Not only is he funny and energetic, but also hot… even without his Amazing Fire Act hah ahahha ha!

There are many wine shops to visit if you are a fan. We chose Icicle Ridge Winery and were not disappointed. Though I was so hungry that a little bit of wine I’ve tried went straight to my head. After that I was having a lot more fun!

Of course Oni Studio could not disappoint our fans and not offer any sex appeal, especially with all the girls and guys walking around in native German attire. So without further delay, here they are!

Do you know these ladies? If so let them know they are here! We gave them our card, but those mugs were awfully full they may not remember us!

I can not believe that October is here already and Holidays are fast approaching.  We’ve been very busy in the studio with Family portraits, that are perfect to send out as cards to out of town family and friends, and of course Boudoir Sessions, that are a best gift for your special someone. Most of my available October appointments have been already booked, so don’t wait too long to reserve yours. Give me a call at 757-582-2334 for a free consultation and we can talk about your ideas and concepts.
